We don't know the reality yet. We might not ever know. Just because one guy had a gun doesn't make him worse than the other guy. If the other guy killed him with a pipe would that have been better somehow?

Bloody hell,is that the attitude in your Country?No wonder theres such a Gun problem there!So many Guns ,no wonder a bit of Road rage turns in to a Killing.Four shots fired?Seems to be above and beyond self defense.

on fairly short notice silentlambs sent out an advisory to the public that jehovah's witnesses were once again going to court to speak as character witnesses for a convicted pedophile.

earlier in the week on monday a large group of jehovah's witnesses had made known their intention to come to court as they had for the last two years to publicly support and offer character statements for a man convicted on several counts of molesting his daughters.

you forget a faithful witness believes that Jehovah's spirit guides the elders and if they reinstate, then it is Jehovah who has done it... and cannot be doubted without serious consequences.... dont you remember?

Howard Kanehe was disfellowshipped in the early summer of 2002 for confessing to child molestation yet he was reinstated late summer of 2002 due to his great repentance

I agree with earlier statements.Im sure any decent Witness would have been disgusted about such a quick Re-instatement!

Some have been kicked out for years just for smoking a Ciggie or sleeping with theyre Fiance/ee!

But at least he got a good long Prison sentence.

In America,does 21 Years mean 21 Years?Over here that would probably be eventually halved for "good "behaviour.

Fading, but I dont think I can do it

ive been fading for about 7 months now, but i dont know if i can carry it off.. i was really upset by a family member, had a couple of drinks then phoned my sister, whoes not a jw, ( for a bit of sympathy) but then i revealed too much information about my fading.

the thing is shes going on holiday with my other sister who is a jw, now im scared she might tell her.

she wouldnt do it on pupose.. i feel im in quick sand, drowning, i would love to tell the way i really feel, but cant take the shunning.will this ever end?

If you havent/dont assosciate with JW,s anymore then they cant touch you with a barge pole.In Britain the data protection act makes sure of this.

Mind you,ive been out for over 18 Months and i still get a tad paranoid now and again...you know,getting the lottery ticket ,18 rated Films etc...

But the feeling of freedom is amazing even all this time later....................

i've heard of brothers and sisters saying that they have "prayed for the elders because they love them for their hard work and sacrifice".

i've also heard of how some in the congregation were petrified of the elders and of course, there were those that said they were either only men or that they were direct representatives of jehovah god himself.

I loved them. They were always kind to me and loved me very much. I talked to them about many things over the years. This past time, I still don't blame them, because despite all they knew, they had no choice but dole out the punishment because they had to follow orders. That reminds me of how Winston Smith felt when he receved a Bullet in the back of his Head from Big Brother.

if i could have a dollar for the number of times i've heard an "older, experienced" jw talk about young-ones taking the "path of least resistance" and "going to the world" i would be richer than george soros.

truth in fact, for some young witnesses, peer pressure does lead them to forsake the organization and follow (for them) what is the "path of least resistance.

" my experience is that these younger ones generally have only one parent who is a jw and usually "weak" at that.

I totally agree with you Bradley!

I stayed in for an extra 5/6 Years because it was EASIER that way.Then i just ground to a halt and said enough is enough.

Lifes even easier now though!
